Words are life on paper (Paulo Coelho)

I’m house sitting near Katikati in the Western Bay of Plenty and I’m writing. I’m keeping Ebony company – or is it the other way round? I take her for twice daily walks in the avocado orchard next door and it was there that I got the inspiration for my new story – that plus an  article in the local free rag.

It’s a story for all ages, children and adults and it’s about Imbalance of the soil and what the fairy folk and elves plan to do about it. There’s even a Mexican elf called – El Fino – (all elves require the word elf in their name), humour and observations from the orchard walks.

You’d think that a 20/30 minute walk round the same place would be boring, but no – I spot something new every time and I itch to share it. It’s living in the present being able to do that. Yesterday it was a sound- scape that I heard.
